Recreational
The summer season starts registration in mid March with games beginning in early June. The last league game ends in the third week of July and the season ends with a recreational tournament in the last week/ weekend of July. The season is for players from U6 to U19; (see age group chart).
Anchorage Gardens (Club Fields), Monday through Thursdays in the evenings. Additional fields are used, Lake Hood, Stellar and Storck Park, as needed. Practice will occur twice weekly at local elementary and middle school fields. The summer season is twelve games/ six weeks long and uniforms are provided.
Pre-Competitive
The summer season starts registration in mid March with games beginning in late May. The last league game ends in the last week of July and the season ends with a tournament, Zane Cup on the first weekend of August. The season is for players from U8 to U12; (see age group chart).
Games are conducted twice weekly at Anchorage Gardens (Club Fields), Monday through Thursdays in the evenings. Depending on registration numbers games may be played at other local fields around Anchorage. Practice will occur twice weekly at local elementary and middle school fields. Players will be given multiply opportunities to participate in summer tournament play with other local teams (additional fee required). The summer season is twelve games/ six weeks long and uniforms are provided.
Competitive
The summer season is the biggest and busiest time of the year for the competitive teams. League play starts in late may and runs through early to mid August. Team will participate in multiply tournaments in the Anchorage and Fairbanks areas. Games will occur in the evening 2-3 times a week and team training may occur in the day or early evening 3-4 times a week.
In addition teams may also look to travel out of state to training events, camps, and tournaments. The season officially ends with a very competitive state championship tournament that changes venues annually; for the 2010 year that venue is Kincaid Park Fields in Anchorage.
