1.    What is the difference between competitive and recreational soccer?
Recreational teams are formed to provide players the opportunity to play soccer in a Recreational league.  There are no training fees, signup is all that is required for placement, and players must play 50% of each game.  Coaches are usually volunteer parents.  Competitive teams are formed by tryouts and professional coaches are paid a monthly training fee.

2.    How do I register for recreational soccer?
You can register online by clicking the link for registration on the CISC website.  You can also register at the Walk-In location at 9210 Vanguard Drive, Suite 102B Monday thru Friday from 10 to 5.

3.    How much is it to register?
Registration is $90 each season for Recreational players.  There is an additional fee for each program; U6-U8 is $123.00 and U10 and above is $141.00.

4.    What does my registration fee pay for?
Registration pays for 10 games and a limited group insurance premium.

5.    Do I have to purchase anything else?
Players must have an age-appropriate ball; wear shin guards and their CISC uniform.

6.    Where do I get the uniform?
You do not need to purchase a uniform as that is part of you program fee.  Uniforms are usually handed out to the team coaches before the season starts or they can be picked up at the main office.

7.    How and when do I find what team my child is on?
Coaches receive their teams from the Recreational Coordinator and begin calling their players prior to the season start.

8.    Can I coach? If so what are the requirements and are there training courses that you offer?
CISC frequently needs new coaches.  Coaches must have a player currently registered in the club.  Coaching education is offered throughout the summer.  Youth Modules and Licensed coaching courses are offered by AYSA periodically throughout the year.

9.    Can I request to play with my child’s friends?
Yes.  Include your request on the registration form.  There is no guarantee of specific team placement.  Late registration limits the chance of receiving your request.
