Cook Inlet Soccer Club is proud to extend our services to our most competitive, driven and dedicated youth athletes to help improve their technical skills/abilities in a format that can be Assessed, Analyzed, Targeted and Trained.

CISC - STAR Mission
Our mission is to improve a players overall technical ability, to build an individual’s confidence with ball and for the player to take responsibility for their own development outside of regular team training.

CISC – STAR Philosophy
At STAR Training, we have high expectations for both players and trainers alike. Training sessions will be highly intensive, demanding, and repetitive to create a solid foundation of technical proficiency for players of all ages.

Player Expectations
Players can expect more personalized training in smaller numbers. The player to trainer ratio will be APPROX 10:1 so that a player can maximize their training potential. All CISC – STAR trainers are USSF Licensed as well as NSCAA members.

With repetition training, players can expect to improve technically as well as athletically in these different areas:
  • Comfort of ball
  • Juggling
  • Dribbling
  • 1st Touch / Passing
  • Aerial Control
  • Ball Striking
  • Speed, Strength, and Flexibility
  • Small-sided training to solve “real-game” situations
Trainers will utilize iSoccer as a resource for training, observing and tracking their progress while allowing players the ability to continue their development aside from their weekly team trainings. STAR participants should expect 1,000-1,500 additional touches on the ball with weekly 1.5 hrs of training to build player confidence, ability, a higher level of fitness and concentration so that players can make better decisions on the field. We aim to make the player more complete, balanced and effective not only in trainings but also in their matches.

iSoccer provides players with a nationally accredited resource to take what they have learned in training, track their progress, train at home and improve their overall technical ability with the ball. iSoccer provides players with a national assessment “that measures an individual player’s overall technical ability, information for trainers, players, club and videos of player’s successes throughout the nation.

Trainer Expectations
STAR Trainers have very high expectations of our participants. Each training session is 1-hr long so intensity will be high, demanding, and required in order for players to be able to match their quality of touches when at the point of exhaustion.

Players must be willing to come to training with the mindset that progress takes time, dedication and focus. A player’s desire to improve will be tested frequently. Players will be pushed to excel and never give up.

All players are expected to bring the following:
-          Positive attitude
-          High work rate
-          Commitment
-          Respect for yourself, your peers, and for your trainers.
-          Cleats/Outdoor Gear
-          SOCCER BALL w/ air
-          Water
-          STAR T-Shirt (provided)
