Referees,

I have posted the two sources for referee gear that I know best. Here is a list of gear that you need as a starting referee:

(1) Yellow Jersey
(1) Black Short
(1) Pair Black Socks w/ white stripes
(1) Digital Wrist Watch
(1) Whistle
(1) Pair of cleats (Black preferred)

Eventually if you decide to do this for years, start investing in different colors for jerseys.

My recommendation:

-For your shorts, get ones with pockets because anything you have in your chest pockets will fly out when you run.
-Get a cheap wrist watch from Wal-mart, don't get stop watches that hang off your neck, they will accidentally stop while you run.
-For whistles, look into purchasing a "Fox40" whistle, it is very cheap and very loud. Regular pea whistles are very quiet.
-For apparel, regulation states that you must have black cleats only, and a black under shirt. I will not be strict on enforcing this rule, but please keep it reasonable and always look professional.
